Am I being ripped or is this a case of internet fraud? - travel insurance heart condition
8.2009 In October, I purchased airline tickets through Orbitz Travel. I bought a travel insurance policy of "Access America" at this time. On 13 October my heart doctor's office called and told me that my earlier tests, heart (EKG heart monitor, and 24) showed that he needed a pacemaker. The doctor said I would not yet fly. I and the doctor has the documents needed to claim and was completed by fax at Access America October 22, 2009th Since I have no official response from Access America, received so far, I cried twice in Nov.2009. They refused my request saying that he had a "pre-existing condition" and "Don` ts ensure against the pre-existing conditions.
There is no question that I knew of any adverse heart condition until at least 5 days after the tickets were purchased. Of course this is only a little more BS insurance, they are the people in the world today. People should be very careful to purchase flight / travel insurance, after all that you can have one pre-existing condition (s).

As with any type of insurance must be the request of one or more of your cover their "risks. For example, the suicide rate is often not "fall" (in a life or at least not immediately), the exclusion of that one "."
Access America provides travel cover many plans, if you are one of their "limited" package to choose for the "illness of the insured" as the reason for cancellation. A heart condition that prevented him from flying seems suddenly a "disease.
His website said: "What the exclusion of existing medical conditions? The program does not apply to losses or expenses due to illness or injury ... seeking or receiving treatment or had symptoms of the day you plan to purchase, or at any time within 120 days before you bought it.
Insurance companies generally say "no" until it seems to me that to sue you. Back to the game and was immediately agreed to continuefor (assuming that your application covers.) If you do not say in advance that the exclusion of pre-existing condition, Sue for fraud, but also "unfair and deceptive trade practices." There are also disadvantages of federal criminal Interstate wire fraud ... and each insurance company requires a state license ... no insurance and wants a television reporter immersion in the lobby ...
Welcome to my world! It is a legal fraud from. Now you know what the rest of us complain about. They have the forms from, so they know what is going on. Of course, if you do not know or you have a pacemaker complete the purchase. In addition, persons submitting the fraudulent claims, insurers zero-tolerance policy set in stone. When you press it, you can give them to reconsider their position. Companies like these make their money when people tired of problems and give up.
